(9/4/2019) Please be aware when filing a case initiation to the case type "Other Probate," that the filing fee has increased to $360 when filing a "Petition to Amend Utah Vital Record" (formerly "Petition to Amend Birth Certificate").

New Rule When Filing a "Motion to
Waive Court Fees" Document

(9/4/2019) A rule is being implemented to require two (2) additional documents when a "Motion to Waive Court Fees" is part of a submission. Those documents are:

(1) A Statement in Support of Motion to Waive Fees (formerly the Affidavit in Support of Motion to Waive Fees); and

(2) An Order to Waive Fees (Proposed), or Order (Proposed).

A "Motion to Waive Court Fees" filing will be automatically rejected if it doesn't contain both of the required documents as listed above. The rejection message back to the filer indicates what is missing for the filing. This enhancement is being implemented to ensure the Courts have everything they need to consider the Motion to Waive Court Fees in a timely manner.

Notification, Draft Filings and Filing Status are now being saved for 60 days.

The Utah Courts installed a new credit card processing system June 15, 2019. Filers are required to follow a new procedure for registering their card(s).
